Backcountry —Summer Semester

When you arrive to Bozeman the mornings and evenings will still be quite cool, with frost on the ground in the early morning. This is Spring in the Northern Rockies. Early June temperatures may not rise beyond mid 70s, and night time temperatures could get down into the 20's. By July the days can easily heat up to the mid-90s. You will start the day in Fleece, have lunch in a short sleeved t-shirt and scramble for your jacket again as soon as the sun goes down.

The days are long, with the sun rising around 5:00 am and darkness arriving around 9:30 pm. These gloriously long days allow you to maximize your experience at Remote Studio.

Backcountry Lessons

The Remote Studio Programs are vigorous, exciting, and at times physically challenging. Consider the program you are going to attend and which experiences you will have. To take full advantage of your program, and to ensure that you can participate fully consider these guidelines:
